Kids & Pros Football Camp

Hessig & Pohl are proud to be the title sponsors of Kids & Pros and are excited to see this program up and running. It’s all about developing character and skills via the time tested route of athletics. Kids & Pros also just recently started a speaker series called “Game Changers for Life,” focusing on values required to be a success off and on the playing field.

Buddy Curry founded Kids & Pros, a non-profit 501c3 corporation and character-based youth sports organization that engages retired NFL Players with their communities to teach football fundamental skills and character lessons to children ages 7 – 13. Curry was a University of North Carolina, four-year football letterman and ACC All-Conference performer as linebacker.

Kids & Pros is one of the fastest growing community programs in the country emphasizing football fundamentals, position specific training, and character development. It features week-long youth football camps and one-day clinics led by Curry, former Falcons teammate, Bobby Butler, and current and former NFL players who provide hands-on-teaching and mentoring in the character values engendered by football.

The stories told by former and current NFL pros told at #Gamechangers sessions offer the camp and clinic athletes critical information to take away from their lessons that include the value of sportsmanship and why it is a guiding light in athletes lives; the value of perseverance and why you can achieve your goals by staying the course to success; the value of excellence and why being the best you can be achieve only the best, the value of teamwork; because sometimes it truly does take a village to achieve a goal, and the value of integrity because it is the glue that holds honest endeavors together.
